Next drunk classic will put the gin into the regency

With another wonderful season of The Importance of Being Wasted delighting audiences at both the Anywhere Brisbane and Anywhere Moreton Bay festivals in May/June 2023, we thought we’d thank patrons by revealing the literary work we intend to give the “Drunk Classic” treatment.

Presenting… Wine & Prejudice!

This incredible show poster is the result of wonderful creative brains getting together, led by Drunk Classic co-creator Elizabeth Best. Liz worked with actor and artist Genevieve Tree to create a sozzled and sassy Lizzie Bennett.

Our longtime photographic partner Images By Anderson took the portrait AND created the silhouette frames. That’s right, those hot pink paint splashes were made digitally! Kris Anderson is always so detailed with his work - if you look closely, you’ll see the Act React logo on the wine bottle.

Finally, our regular graphic artist Clint Skene added his own flair with the fantastic title design, and our new logo for what we’re calling our “Drunk Classics”. No doubt you’ll agree the end result is stunning!

Wine & Prejudice is in the creative development stage, as we work towards condensing Jane Austen’s most famous comic novel into a fast and funny stage show.

We officially announced this show in Scenestr magazine, which is always incredibly supportive of our work!
