Natalie on The Pursuit Pod with Lauren Wood

Act React producer Natalie Bochenski was invited to be a guest on The Pursuit Pod, created by Lauren Wood, to talk about Act React, her work in theatre and comedy, and achieving a long-held goal of taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2019, Natalie and Amy Currie took their two-woman comedy showdown Love/Hate Actually to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. You can see them pictured below during one of their afternoons flyering along Princes Street, on a typical Scottish summer’s day.

Lauren has a strong connection to the early years of Act React. She was a performer in “He Died With a Felafel in His Hand”, which was the first official Act React show, produced at the Brisbane Powerhouse in 2013.

A talented actor, singer and dancer, Lauren is pursuing a musical theatre career in the UK. As a Covid-19 lockdown project, she started The Pursuit Pod to explore the stories of other performers chasing their dreams.

You can listen to Natalie’s episode here, and follow The Pursuit Pod on Instagram here.

Thank you for the opportunity Lauren - and we hope to get you back in an Act React show one day!
